Tap into YOUR joy this week when you come and Groove!

I recently saw the Alvin Ailey Company perform, and was blown away by their talent and artistry. But what truly struck me was the palpable joy and exuberance radiating from the dancers. You don't need to be a professional dancer to access that same joy!

At Groove, you'll find freedom, fun, and the support to be completely yourself on the dance floor. And when that’s there, the joy follows.

Whether it’s your first time or fiftieth, taking a dance class can feel intimidating. But isn't the chance to feel joy and comfortable in your own skin worth it?

Come dance with us this Thursday in person in Oakland, or Sunday on Zoom (or both, if you can!) I invite you to approach it with curiosity: ‘How is this for me now?’ Because every class is a new chance to tap into the joy of dancing and being yourself.

Thursday, April 11,  6:30 - 7:15 PM  in our spacious Glenview studio in Oakland. Register here to let me know you’ll be there! Bring a friend, their first class is free!

  • East Bay Dance Center, 1318 Glenfield Ave in Oakland’s Glenview neighborhood.

  • $15 per single, drop-in class. Prepay $45 for four consecutive classes Venmo @karen-wertman, PayPal or cash.

  • Please bring a yoga mat and water and arrive 5 minutes before class.

Sunday, April 14, 10:00 a.m. PDT, 1 PM EDT on Zoom - Please RSVP to sign up. Ask your friend or family member to join the fun!
